catholic schools week at smis

Please join us for a week of celebrating St. Michael Indian School! The events listed below will be mostly held on our Facebook page, but we will also join Catholic schools from throughout the country in showcasing the value we bring to our communities, nation, and world. We invite you to celebrate these virtual events scheduled below alongside our faculty, staff, and students!

many gifts, one nation day of giving

During this national Catholic Schools Week celebration, we observe “Many Gifts, One Nation Day of Giving” which begins on Tuesday, February 1st. St. Michael Indian School is raising gifts of support to help fund a new school bus.

Our largest school bus has been on the road serving students for over the past 11 years. It has taken  our students to retreats, science fairs, service projects, and athletic competitions.

It’s nearly time to retire the bus that has served us so well! Your gift will help to purchase a new 44 passenger bus equipped with the latest safety features so Mr. Curley can safely and comfortably transport our students.

With the continued support of our Cardinal community, we have been able to purchase smaller 14-passenger buses. Your support will help SMIS start to build the fund to purchase a new large bus that will be a $125, 000 expense. We hope to purchase the new bus this summer.

The Weinhold family has generously set a goal to help us raise these funds! The family will match every gift donated up to the$5,000 with an exciting opportunity to receive an extra $2,000 if the goal is met within the first 24 hours (February 1st)

We look forward to seeing the gifts of support come in from across the nation to support our school. Please help us give our incredible students a reliable, permanent way to school each day and travel long distances for athletic competitions and other extracurricular competitions

If you’re not quite ready to make your gift to support our large bus purchase and need more information, please reach out to us. We’ll be glad to answer any questions or receive any feedback you may have.
