'WHAT WOULD YOU FIGHT FOR?'

BUILDING ON TRADITION

Saint Michael Indian School is one of seven schools across the United States in the American Indian Catholic Schools Network, which is managed by Notre Dame’s Alliance for Catholic Education. Together, the schools strive to implement best practices in order to grow the existing schools and expand the network to include and empower additional mission schools. The long-running partnership with ACE, along with the School of Architecture’s international reputation, led Teso to believe Notre Dame was the right partner to help her grow Saint Katharine’s mission. She reached out to Father Richard Bullene, C.S.C., ’76, ’81M.Div., assistant dean of architecture, and so began a new partnership.

OUR GRATITUDE TO NOTRE DAME

We are incredibly grateful for the University of Notre Dame and all students who worked on the future plans for our campus and athletic center. Our appreciation extends to the entire Notre Dame community and especially to Professor Lucien Steil, Fr. Richard Bullene C.S.C, Deswood Etsitty, Jenna Frantik, Jill Ahern, and Jacob Gillespie for their work and travels to our campus throughout the last year.

SMIS will have no school today, Friday November 4th, due to snow and icy roads.
